Transition

The contents of this Visa have been co-produced with Transition Coaches and Specialist Youth Support Workers. Although Topics can be viewed certificates cannot yet be claimed as the Topics have yet to go through the approval stage.

However . . . . . . watch this space!

The Transition Visa, like all the others, is driven by the 'My Visa Action Plan'. This has been adapted to 'My Future Action Plan' to reflect the focus of the work contained within this Visa.  Continuing with the Signs of Safety principles of building on strengths the Action Plan should be revisited along the Visa journey as skills are acquired.

The Aim of the The Transition Visa is to focus the thoughts of targeted young people on their journey to Post 16 Learning.

Resources

The resources can be used as flexibly as you choose in order to meet the needs of individual young people. Resources related to the specific Topics can be found on each Topic page.  More general resources relating to participation can be found under the resource tab at the top of the page.

(You can only access these with a user name and password!)

Accreditation

There is freedom to choose the topics that meet the young person's need and each Topic successfully completed and assessed can be accredited.  The preparing for work and work placement elements of this Visa support Suffolk County Council's Care 2 Work offer.
